The Superman & Captain Marvel Power Hour Ep 001

As you may have heard, I am now merging my two podcast feeds, so the Superman & Captain Marvel Power Hour will now join the King-Size Comics Giant-Size Fun Podcast Feed line-up. So now all of my shows will be at one home on iTunes. However, for this show, I will be posting the episodes in 2 locations, the original headquarters for the show and accompanying blog, www.SupermanCaptainMarvel.blogspot.com as well as here at the King-Size Comics Giant-Size Fun Podcast Feed. So I've now uploaded all of the past episodes, starting with this one, on the King-Size Comics Giant-Size Fun podcast feed and blog. All of the links in the show notes then have been updated to reflect the new podcast locations.

So welcome to the re-posting of the inaugural episode of the Superman & Captain Marvel Power Hour Podcast, the podcast devoted to exploring the publishing history & adventures of both the Last Son of Krypton and the World’s Mightiest Mortal. I am your host Kyle Benning, and thank you for joining me on this journey to explore the evolution of my 2 favorite DC Characters, Superman & Captain Marvel. As we follow these characters’ development from the Golden Age to modern day, I’ll be comparing and contrasting their development and changes through the decades and exploring in what ways these two characters are similar yet very, very different. In each episode, I will cover solo stories for each character, or cover an adventure that features both Superman and Captain Marvel together.

To kick-off my podcast, the first episode will be focused on the Superman/Shazam!: The Return of Black Adam animated short from 2010.

You can subscribe to the podcast on iTunes (just search for Superman & Captain Marvel Power Hour or King-Size Comics Giant-Size Fun) or listen to the episode by directly downloading it here: The Superman & Captain Marvel Power Hour Ep 001

Important Announcement - Superman & Captain Marvel Power Hour

Faster than a speeding bullet!

Able to Leap Tall Buildings in a Single Bound!
The Last Son of Krypton is now the Man of Steel….SUPERMAN!!!

To best be in a position to use his amazing powers in the never-ending battle for Truth & Justice, Superman has assumed the disguise of Clark Kent, a mild mannered reporter for a great Metropolitan Newspaper.

Solomon’s Wisdom
Hercules’ Strength
Atlas’ Stamina
Zeus’ Power
Achilles’ Courage
Mercury's Speed

Orphaned as child, the young boy Billy Batson, possessing bravery and a pureness of heart unparalleled, is transformed to the World’s Mightiest Mortal, CAPTAIN MARVEL simply by exclaiming the name of the great and powerful Wizard, SHAZAM!

THIS IS THE SUPERMAN & CAPTAIN MARVEL POWER HOUR

Important Announcement time folks, this morning I sat down to upload the latest episode of my Superman & Captain Marvel Power Hour podcast, which has been on its own feed, and discovered there was an issue with the feed (had I been checking my email lately I would have discovered this 6 weeks ago when pointed out by a listener, sorry Paul Wieckowski).

So after trying to sort through the mess for over an hour, I said screw this, I already have another feed that works just swell as is, so I'm going to cancel this messed up feed and add the Superman & Captain Marvel Power Podcast to my King-Size Comics Giant-Size Fun feed. So you'll still get the same mediocre podcast with irregular show releases that you are used to from me, your host Kyle Benning, and you'll still get to listen to me ramble on and on about my love of Superman and the original Captain Marvel, my two favorite DC Characters. But now the show will be a part of the King-Size Comics Giant-Size Fun Podcast feed. The show is available on iTunes, or you can download directly be visiting either www.kingsizecomicsgiantsizefun.blogspot.com or www.SupermanCaptainMarvel.blogspot.com

All of the past episodes have now been uploaded on the King-Size Comics Giant-Size Fun Podcast feed, and all of the old episode postings on the Superman & Captain Marvel Power Hour Blog have been updated with the new show links as well.

If you'd like to listen to this announcement in audio form, or help spread the message in your fine podcast via this pseudo-podcast trailer, please refer to the audio link below! SHAZAM!
